We want to see college students come to know Jesus. But our ministry doesn’t end--can’t end--with students. We want to see college students come to know Jesus in order to reach the whole world for Jesus.
What does this mean? It means sending students that are raised up through campus ministry into full-time ministry! However, we know that there will never be enough full-time missionaries or Christian workers to reach all people in all spheres of influence all over the world.
This is why we have a burden to see 100% of the students involved in our movements sent. We don’t onlywant to see students go into the ministry. We want to see students won to Christ, built up in their faith, and then sent out as trained laborers into the working world! No one is more influential and more effective than a peer in reaching those around them.
We envision sending students out after graduation to reach their fellow teachers, businessmen, lawyers, engineers...Our vision is to see students sharing their faith in Jesus, and discipling others in the faith in their specific jobs and spheres of influence!
Pray with us:
- That students would be raised up and sent out into the mission field.
- That students’ lives would be transformed, and that they would be sent out as radical witnesses for Jesus into the working world!
What is a movement?
“Movement" is a word we have been using a lot in our communication. We wanted to take a bit of space and describe in a bit more detail what we mean by movement. When we envision a movement of students on a campus, we envision an environment and a ministry culture that is dynamic and growing. We envision students leading other students to Christ, and those students in turn leading other students to Christ! We want to see students trained in evangelism and discipleship to the point where they’re not only engaging in these activities, but training other students to engage in evangelism and discipleship, too.
A movement doesn’t grow by addition--it grows exponentially, by multiplication. A movement is constantly expanding and sending--sending students both to the ends of the earth, and the other end of their campus. We want to see the students we reach to develop a burden for and have a ministry in their immediate spheres of influence, but also to minister “cross culturally” even in the context of their own campus, reaching African-American, Latino and international students, athletes, the Greek system…
Please pray with us for movements of this kind to grow on the campuses of St. Louis. We want to be constantly pressing forward, constantly expecting great things of God as we step out in faith, and ask students to step out in faith with us.
