JB’s Story
I had the incredible privilege of growing up in a Christian home and when I was five years old I invited Christ into my life. I grew up knowing about Jesus but rarely considered the needs of the lost.
During my freshman year at UW Oshkosh the Lord gave me a burden for my campus. He showed me His heart for the lost and gave me a desire to see the students around me come to Christ.
My faith grew so much my first two years at school. I was invited to start studying the Bible with a group of guys, and together the Lord gave us a burden to see our campus turn to Jesus.
We began to consistently share our faith with the students in our classes and in our dorms. We saw people come to Christ and a movement of students develop who wanted to see their campus and ultimately the world changed for Jesus.
The summer after my freshman year at Oshkosh I was invited to go on a summer mission’s trip to San Diego, California. There, I joined a group of 100 other students to be trained in evangelism and discipleship, and to take steps of faith in our walks with the Lord. God used that summer to forever change my life. He gave me an intense burden for missions and called me into full-time Christian work.
