A Quick Trip to St. Louis!

image This weekend, we’ve taken a long weekend to travel to St. Louis for a few days.  Our director has invited us to come and meet the team we’ll be working with, meet some key students leaders involved with the movement, and see the campuses we’ll be working on!  We’ll also be scoping out housing options for the area we’ll be living in, preparing for our move to St. Louis.  We’ll return to Wisconsin to continue ministry partner development after a few days in St. Louis!

Please pray for our trip!

  • Pray that the Lord would use these days to give us greater burden and vision for the students of St. Louis.
  • Pray for us as we develop relationships with our team--pray for great love, humility and unity in our team!
  • Pray for us as we begin to look for housing in the St. Louis area.

Snowiest Winter in 100 Years!

This winter has been one of the coldest and snowiest in Wisconsin in a long time!  In fact, it’s snowed so much that this is the snowiest winter in the last 100 years!  Needless to say, there’s been a fair amount of shoveling, but we love the snow!

New Staff Training - Our Classes

New Staff Training is composed of several different things! The past two weeks, our focus has been on theological development. We, along with the 130 other new staff here, have just finished two seminary courses—Intro to Christian Theology and Bible Study Methods.

For the next few weeks, we’ll be looking at the big picture of campus ministry all over the world, learning what it means to cross cultures as missionaries to lost university students of all cultures, and learning how to further develop a team of financial and prayer ministry partners. We’ll keep you updated on it all—for now, here are some pictures from our weeks of classes!

In Our Free Time

Our trainers are kind enough to give us a day off here and there, so in our free time, we’re taking advantage of the Florida weather before we head back to freezing Wisconsin.

Meeting Vonette Bright

One of the awesome opportunities we’ve been given at staff training is to hear a bit about the history of missions, and specifically, the history of Campus Crusade. Dr. Bill Bright, Campus Crusade’s founder, went to be with the Lord a few years ago, but his wife, Vonette Bright came and spoke to us. It was amazing to hear stories of all that they’ve seen the Lord do over the last 57 years.

We got a special chance to meet and talk to Vonette over dinner with a few other staff. It was a priceless time!
