We Found a House!
The last few updates we’ve sent out, we had asked everyone to be praying for two big things: that we would find a place to live, and a church in the city we’re moving to!
The last four days, we’ve made a trip each day from the western St. Louis suburbs to Edwardsville, IL, the East St. Louis suburb that is home to Southern Illinios University Edwardsville.
After four days of searching in the Edwardsville area for a place to live, the Lord has graciously supplied us with us a home! We found a great house for rent--only two miles from the campus we’ll be working on, and in a great neighborhood. The Lord was kind to let us find a place quickly--now the stress of the search is over, and we can get moved in in just a couple of weeks!
This past Sunday, we had the opportunity to visit two great churches. We’ll continue our search, so please continue to pray for the Lord’s leading as we find a place to connect with the local Body.

Leaving Kansas
We are heading out of Kansas today. We’re excited to be on our way to St. Louis! Above is a picture of us with Abbie’s family. Sad to say good-bye...but we’re excited for our next adventure.
We’re Still in Kansas!
We’ve been in Kansas City for a little over a month now. Our time here has been an incredible blessing. We’ve had the chance to meet with old ministry partners, and meet new ones as well. The Body of Christ, as always, continues to be a huge blessing to us. We are expecting to pack up and move to St. Louis within the next couple of weeks! As we get closer to moving, we’re starting to do fun things like looking online for places to live, and trying to remember what we’ve had in storage for two years, and what we still need to buy to furnish an apartment…
Honda and Spiritual Gifts
Since we’ve been in Kansas City, we’ve had the privilege to attend Abbie’s dad’s church the past few Sundays. Covenant Chapel has two pastors, and this past Sunday, Pastor Tom Ryan preached on spiritual gifts and the body of Christ. To illustrate the body functioning well when all parts function as they should, Tom used this video. Check it out! And as you watch, know this: none of what you see is computer animation, these are real Honda parts, and it took over 600 attempts to get the whole thing to work just right!

When it Rains it Pours!
When you hear the word “flooding” you don’t normally think of Wisconsin. However, a continuous downpour of rain has left many parts of the state under water. This video shows some of the damage the rain is causing - It’s unbelievable!
We were in Oshkosh up until the end of May, but left before all of this flooding started...so we haven’t witnessed it first-had, but I’ve talked to my parents on the phone--they got 6 1/2 inches of rain yesterday alone! They also told me that 75 percent of the roads in Oshkosh are completely flooded.
